The long cold war began to heat up. In 1983, a catastrophic terrorist attack interrupted the liberation of Poland and the subsequent collapse of the Soviet Union. Twenty years later, idealistic law students and troubled detectives stumbled upon a plot to preserve the Iron Curtain and Poland's repressed totalitarian rule. Now in 2003, after two decades of peace and prosperity, regime leaders unexpectedly joined forces with their rivals in the 1980s to develop a secret plan. This plan will fundamentally change Poland and affect the lives of its people as well as people around the world. The discovery of the two men could lead to a revolution, and those in power will keep it a secret at all costs.
