Anna (Riza Boyalskaya Elizaveta Boyarskaya) marries Karenin, a senior official, at a young age and mingles with the social circle of the upper class. One day, she received a telegram from her brother asking his sister to go to Moscow to save the broken marriage between him and his wife Dolly. On the train to Moscow, Anna meets a young officer named Wallensky (Maxim Matveyev Maksim Matveev), and there is a spark between the two. Coincidentally, Dolly's sister Katie also fell in love with Warrensky, but Katie soon discovered that Anna was the only one in Warrensky's eyes. In order to escape this immoral relationship, Anna returned to Karenin. Unexpectedly, Wallensky followed, and the two got out of hand.
