Trial expert Bull, written by Phil McGraw and Paul Attanasio and directed by Rodrigo Garcia, is based on the real story of Dr. Phil McGraw, a famous American daytime TV host and expert on human studies. Dr. Phil also provides legal advice and in reality worked as legal counsel for Oprah's "mad cow disease speech". Michael Weatherly, who has just left NCIS, plays the adapted role of Dr. Jason Bull, who leads a company that analyzes juries to develop defense strategies, Trial Sciences Inc. His stature and intelligence make him very attracted to the opposite sex, but he also has a very offensive and straightforward character. Geneva Carr plays Marissa, a team psychologist, neurolinguist (the science of the relationship between the nervous system and language), and a sexual psychotherapist. Freddy Rodriguez plays Benny as a jury analysis group.
