Extra is a masterpiece produced by The Office producer Ricky Gervais and screenwriter Stephen Merchant, which was broadcast by BBC in 2001. After the first episode, Gervais played Andy Millman, a guy who resigned from the bank to realize his dream, but always played only minor supporting roles. In fact, he rarely got a speaking role, so he stayed in the actors' lounge all day with other extras. Including his good friend Maggie Jacobs, envies the protagonists.
