The killing Generation is a TV series based on the 2003 Iraq War, adapted from Evan Wright's original book of the same name. The series will be broadcast on HBO Channel in July 2008. the seven-hour film will be produced by David Simon, Ed Burns, Nina K. Noble, Andrea Calderwood, George Faber and Charles Pattinson. The novel of the same name, the killing Generation (2004), is an autobiography written by Rolling Stone journalist Evan Wright based on his own experience, about his experience as a journalist deep into the war zone, following the first Expeditionary Force of the U.S. Marine Corps in the Iraq War in 2003. His account of Marine Corps life was first published in three issues of Rolling Stone magazine in the fall of 2003. The Killer Elite, the beginning of the series, won the National Magazine Award for Best reporting in 2004.
