Maranie (Valerie Bertinelli Valerie Bertinelli) is a writer. Recently, her book on "what you must do before you grow old" has received a lot of response in the industry. Ironically, Maranie has not done any of the seemingly exciting things in the book, and not only that, her husband left her not long ago. To ease her depression, Malani invites her two friends, Victoria (Wendy Malik Wendie Malick) and Joey (Jane Lives Jane Leeves), to take a "go-and-go trip" to Paris. To the surprise of the three, the plane they were on was forced to land in a place called Cleveland because of a malfunction. In this way, Cleveland becomes a temporary residence for three women who rent a large, gorgeous house and meet their less friendly landlord, Mrs. Elka (played by Betty White Betty White).
