Syfy TV said in a public statement that it will work with David S. Goyer, the screenwriter of Batman: the Dark Knight Rises and Superman: the Man of Steel, to create a series set in Superman's hometown of Krypton and focused on the story of Superman's grandfather. In addition, the show also exposed an official Logo poster of Krypton. From the point of view of the story, Krypton is similar to Gotham, which tells the origin story of Jim Gordon. According to Syfy, the story of Krypton will be many years before Superman was sent to Earth, when Krypton was in chaos.
