"search" is about the sex and life of three gay friends in modern San Francisco. Friendship may be their commonness, but everyone walks on a completely different path of life. Patrick (Jonathan Grove Jonathan Groff), a 29-year-old video game designer, decided to return to the dating market after being spurred by the news of his ex-boyfriend's engagement. Augustine (Frank J Alvarez Frankie J. Alvarez), 31, a well-known artist, needs to consider whether to end indulgence and practice monogamy with his boyfriend. Dom (Murray Bartlett Murray Bartlett), 39, has been working as a restaurant waiter, experiencing the double whammy of a midlife crisis and hopeless love. The stories of the three people intersect, all looking for happiness and intimacy, while also facing the choices and decisions that all gays have to face. "search" is the latest gay show on HBO in 2014, about gay life on the West Coast of the United States, all filmed in San Francisco. The play is directed by Andrew Hagrid of weekend time, and the producer developed Brother.
