Apple has officially booked the entire season of the Pachinko series. In August last year, Apple won the copyright of Li Mingjin's novel of the same name, planned to shoot a play, and is now officially filming. Soo Hugh ("extraterrestrials" and "under the Dome") acts as a screenwriter, operator and executive producer. The novel records the hopes and dreams of an American Korean immigrant family for four generations. it begins with a taboo love story and becomes a long legend spanning South Korea, Japan and the United States. The book was named one of the top 10 books of 2017 by the New York Times and was shortlisted for the National Book Award.
