The Russell brothers will create a documentary series "Slugfest" for Quibi to delve into the competition between Marvel and DC. The show is inspired by Reed Tucker's book Guild Wars: inside epic War between Marvel and DC for 50 years (Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-year Battle Between Marvel and DC). The competition between the two publishers can actually be traced back to the first issue of Action Comics during the Roosevelt administration (introducing Superman and the DC brand) and the first issue of Marvel Comics (introducing Namo the diver), but it was Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko who revolutionized Marvel in the 1960s, making competition urgent and transforming the market. Don Aggett ([believer]), Sheena M. Joyce ([creator of John de Ronin]) is the director of the play.
