The show focuses on three generations in a family whose troubles are different but intertwined: how to die honorably, how to live presumptuously, and how to make every moment of life meaningful. Frances O'Connor plays Dr. Kate Brennan, a palliative care specialist who lives on the Gold Coast. Euthanasia is a sensitive topic in Kate's field of work, which she opposes very much.
