Josh Hartnett will star in Sky's novel adaptation of The Fear Index, in which he will play Dr. Alex Hoffmann, an American expatriate physicist, who invented an AI system that can make a lot of money by exploiting loopholes in the moment of financial market panic. But on the day the system was officially running, Alex's home was invaded by a man who knew all his security passwords, and a series of strange events followed that the protagonist found himself framed.
