Pierce Brosnan replaced Sam Neil in the ten-episode AMC drama "the eldest son of Texas." This is Brosnan's return to the small screen after more than 30 years, following the 1982 detective series "the Legend of Steele". The play is adapted from Philip Meyer's novel of the same name, and Meyer will be one of the screenwriters. The show, which revolves around the legendary rise and fall of a family in Texas, starts in Austin this month and broadcasts next year.
