On an ordinary day, Mary Walsh (Brittany Murphy Brittany Murphy), a manager at a bank in Los Angeles, asks for leave to accompany boyfriend Kevin Peterson (Dean Kane Dean Cain) for a routine ligament surgery. Everything seemed normal, but she hadn't seen Kevin since Mary left the operating room. As the waiting time was too long, she asked the help desk to inquire about the operation, only to find that there was no record of Kevin's treatment.
