In 1994, civil war continued to break out in northern Algeria. Two police officers, S and Lotfi, who had been childhood friends, were driving to the Sahara Desert in search of the absconding terrorist Ableira. Worried that his fragile friend would be crushed by the death and terror that pervaded the capital, Lotfi was determined to keep him away from there. Because of S's ever-changing state of mind, the film continues to switch between S's dream and reality. Their journey in the vast desert gradually turned into a confrontation with inner trauma and violence. The film was shortlisted for the International Film critic week at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden camera Award.
