The father of Derek (Edward Norton Edward Norton) was shot and killed by a black drug dealer when he was very young, planting the seeds of hatred in his young heart. It turned out that Derek was good at his lessons and was a good student in the teacher's eyes. But since his father's death, he has devoted all his efforts to dealing with people of color. He actively organized a group of white young thugs to fight against people of color everywhere. Once, he shot two black people and went to prison. After going to prison, Derek joined a group of neo-Nazi whites. Later, because of his work, he became friends with a black man, and he began to reflect on his past. When he tried to break away from the neo-Nazi organization in prison, he was beaten and kicked. After getting out of prison, Derek decided to break away from the gang he had organized and take his brother away to start a new life.
