Unlike other documentaries in memory of the dead, the film does not set the tone too heavily, but is interspersed with a lot of Bill Hicks cartoon and animation clips, adding a lot of humor to the film. it is also more in line with Bill Hicks's identity as a "master comedian". The film, which was co-produced by British directors Matt Harlock and Paul Thomas, took three years to shoot and won the Texas record Man Award at the Dallas International Film Festival.
