Aliosha is a musician in a tavern in Moscow. His wife has left him for the United States and married a rich American. Three years later, Aliosha decided to go to the United States to retrieve his seven-year-old daughter Anutta. Things didn't go well, and although Anutta was willing to follow his father home, his mother used all sorts of means to obstruct it. Anutta ran away from home and planned to escape from the United States across the Mexican border with his father. After some efforts, it failed in the end. When his daughter fell ill, Aliosha had to turn himself in to the police.
