When discovering that a huge meteorite was heading towards the earth and would hit the earth within the 18th, NASA came up with a way to prevent the meteorite from colliding with the earth and causing human destruction: sending people to land on the surface of the meteorite, drill a hole through the center of the meteorite, and place a nuclear bomb to detonate it. But all this must be completed within 18 days. The oil-drilling foreman (Bruce Willis) was entrusted with an important task, and his subordinate (Ben Afflett) was also the boyfriend of his daughter (Liv Taylor). Whether the task could be successfully completed will affect the happiness of her daughter for the rest of her life. To this end, he and his subordinates received high-intensity training from NASA, hoping to transform from well drillers into heroes of the salvation overnight.
