The film focuses on Bauer and Anaz. In reality, the couple also starred in the classic sitcom "I Love Lucy." Ricardo in the title is the surname of their characters in the show. the story is set in a working week during the filming of I Love Lucy, from Monday's script to Friday, during which the two suffered a huge crisis, their careers may end and their marriage may fail. Historically, it was Bauer who asked her husband Anaz to appear in "I Love Lucy" (the show is adapted from Bauer's popular radio show), and CBS was reluctant to see a very "American" heroine with a Cuban-American man.
