The story takes place in Germany in the 19th century, when the Renaissance and romanticism swept through, and the whole country was filled with a fierce and fanatical atmosphere. Clara (Martine Godett Martina Gedeck) lives in such an artistic environment. Clara is a music artist who became famous very early. She gave her own recital at the age of 11. After marrying Schumann (Pascal Gregory Pascal Greggory), Clara and her family move to Dusseldorf, where Clara and Brahms (Malik Zidi Malik Zidi) meet. For Clara, married life is not satisfactory, financial constraints and sick husband let her shoulder great pressure, and Clara's love of music does not allow her to give up and devote herself to the family. In a divided and painful life, only Brahms can make her feel warm and happy.
