Lucas Davenport (Mark Harmon), once a deputy sheriff of the Minneapolis Police Department, is now a partner in a computer company. When Davenport was a policeman, he could have retired early and enjoyed a comfortable life in his old age, but just as a man was obsessed with the beauty of a fragrant car, Davenport still loved his career as a policeman and did not forget to pay attention to any developments in the police station after he really retired. Until a bizarre case occurred, Davenport was recalled to the police station again, in which a policeman himself was killed after witnessing the murder of the wife of a local real estate legal adviser. So the whole police immediately organized a crime team to solve the case, and the real estate legal adviser of the victim's husband first became a suspect, and when a group of investigation team from FBI agents (Davenport called them "morons") intervened to make the case more complicated and confusing, according to the clues provided by FBI agents, the mastermind of the case was targeted by a man named Clara Rinker (Tatiana Maslany).
