Biographer George goes to Switzerland to interview Chaplin (Robert Downey Jr), who tells his story. In England in 1894, the young Chaplin began to save the extras' mother, but his miserable life led to the separation of the Chaplin brothers and his mother was admitted to hospital because of madness. In 1903, Chaplin was introduced by his brother to a British theatrical troupe to start his acting career. Soon he became famous and was invited by an American studio. In the United States, Chaplin came into contact with the dreamy art of cinema. And use his aura to gain fame and fortune with the help of the medium of film. Chaplin could not forget his origins and insisted on adding critical spirit to his films after taking control of the production rights, so he was labelled as a red character and got into a lot of trouble. The outstanding filmmaker, who has experienced political repression, the departure of lovers, success and loss, has grown old. He watched his films in the cinema and burst into tears. The film won the 1993 British Film Academy Award for Best Actor, the London Film critics Association Actor of the year Award and the Chicago Film critics Association Award for the most promising actress.
