A young college student is looking for a comfortable place where he can concentrate on an important paper, only to end up becoming a tutor in a dark basement. His job is to give some basic lessons to Klaus, a boy who looks much older than he is. Even weirder, his parents always believed that German-born Klaus could one day become president of the United States through his talent and efforts by following the instructions of the alien attached to his mother's leg. At the end of the story, Klaus finally realizes that he runs away from home against his parents' wishes, while college students seem to be assimilated by this horrible basement and become a new member of the "family".
