Based on Robert Muchill's novel of the same name, the film is based on the author's recollection of real life events. In the barren land of the eastern Austro-Hungarian Empire at the beginning of the 20th century, there was a relatively closed boarding school. Parents trained them into useful people through the harshness of boarding schools, the teachers were strict and rigid, and the children had the rules of European boarding schools and strict hierarchy. Biasini, a student in the school, was often chosen as the target of violence by his classmates because of his theft. He became a victim of violence, and his classmate, Torres, was a wavering man. This choice also caused trouble for him. When people compared to Yasni violence escalation and the school authorities intervened for serious school discipline, he became the target of everyone, and he became a person who had no reason to excuse himself.
