Adapted from Prabhat Kumar Mukherjee's short story of the same name. Doyamoyee's husband died out of town, and her powerful father-in-law was convinced that she was the reincarnation of the Indian goddess Kali and that her daughter-in-law must be respected. When her husband returned home after knowing this, he tried to convince his father to understand, but his father was moved. To him, those who had recovered from strange diseases were proving that what he believed was true, but what was the truth?
