A small vendor who barely made a living by driving a taxi learned in a meeting with a bank consultant that a bribe he was prepared to pay to the bank consultant to save the workshop from getting a loan had doubled. The Ethics Committee actually wanted a piece of the pie when it examined his complaints about banker extortion. The peddler, forced to the brink of reason, shot the banker and then shot himself. The incident sparked a national discussion about civil society on the radio. At the same time, six taxi drivers and their passengers are driving in the dark, each hoping to find the direction of a better life. The whole film takes place within 24 hours, and people take taxis to cheat, murder, or go to the unknown of their lives. Every story is a hand-held shot to the end. In order to achieve this technology, the director and crew drove through the streets of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. There are very few films produced in Bulgaria every year, and the film industry lacks state funding, but this has not diminished the artistic achievements of this low-budget film. Director Stephen Komandarev is looking for directions for the Bulgarian film industry and real life in a hands-on way.
