The China-Spain co-production animation "Dragonkeeper" project announced that it will be co-directed by Salvador Simó and Li Jianping (Jian-Ping Li transliteration, not sure if it's from Nortel), directors of last year's critically acclaimed animation "Bunuel's Turtle Labyrinth". The voice actors include Bill Nye ("True Love First" and "Zombie Shaun"), Bill Bailey ("Black Bookstore" and "Hot Blood Detective"), and Naomi Yang("Shake Gently"). The story is adapted from the fantasy novel of the same name by Australia writer Carole Wilkinson. It tells the story of the slave girl Ping who raises dragons in the emperor's castle. She dreams of freedom. On a fateful day, a dragon escaped from the castle, forcing Ping to embark on a mission: send the last dragon eggs to the ocean to save the dragon from extinction. During this journey, she unlocked her special abilities and discovered that she was the last real "dragon breeding person" in existence.
