Four years ago, a riot broke out in the notorious Lasio prison. This incident caused widespread debate in Rio de Janeiro state society and changed the fate of many people to varying degrees. Lieutenant Colonel Robert Nassiberto (Wagner Moura), who directly led the elite force (BOPE), was promoted to deputy secretary-general of the Security Service, with greater room for deployment; while his favorite general Andrew Matthias (André Ramiro) was used as a scapegoat by politicians and kicked out of the BOPE force.
