Adam (Jack Gyllenhaal Jake Gyllenhaal) is an associate professor of history at a university who lives with his girlfriend, goes to and from work every day and leads a quiet life. Until one day, he found an actor who looked exactly like him in a movie. He used the Internet to find information about the actor and contacted him. The actor who looks exactly like Adam is Anthony, who has a pregnant wife. At first, he only regarded Adam as a crazy movie fan, until he searched the Internet about Adam and finally made up his mind to meet Adam. The two agreed to meet at a hotel. Adam was frightened when he saw an Anthony who looked exactly like him. He told each other not to see each other again and left in a hurry. However, a few days later, Anthony showed up at Adam's home and made a strange request.
