When the talented, self-centered dancer April (Sophia Carlson) is expelled from Broadway, she reluctantly moves back to her hometown town in Wisconsin to live with her father (Enrique Clantoni). April tries her best to avoid everyone in her community, including her first love Nick (Wolfgang Novogratz), who reluctantly accepts the hiring of her former dance teacher (Donna Chaplin). Train a group of problematic young dancers in town. April at first thought she had found her way back to Broadway, but now she gets more. Jump to the beat is a love letter to the town and a warm comedy about chasing dreams.
