This film is based on real events. Bob (Greg Kinnear Greg Kinnear) is a personable university professor who is deeply loved by teachers and classmates. In his spare time, Bob likes to make some gadgets. One day, he imagined a device that could automatically brush off Rain Water from the car window-the wiper, and invented it. The wiper just came out, but it didn't take much attention from manufacturers, but it wasn't long before Bob found that the device was being used heavily by Detroit automakers on their products without his authorization. Angry Bob took the automaker to court with a complaint, but the protracted lawsuit dragged Bob and his family into a bottomless whirlpool. The road to safeguarding his rights was long and difficult, during which Bob even received death threats to his life.
