Jesse Shuttleworth (Ray Allen Ray Allen) is a famous high school basketball star in the country. Jesse is determined to make a career in professional basketball, but is overshadowed by a prisoner's father, Jack Shuttlesworth (Denzel Washington in Denzel Washington). When his father killed his mother by mistake in a domestic violence, Jack, who was jailed, faced a deal because he had a star son. As long as Jesse was persuaded to join a state-designated university, his sentence would be commuted. The film "one-on-one" directed by well-known American director Spike Lee, played by Denzel Washington, Hollywood's most charismatic black star, is also his third collaboration with director Spike Lee.
