The film is based on a series of novels by Australia and the best-selling novelist Peter Temple. Jack's life couldn't be worse-his favorite football club has moved to another state, the latest bet on horses is a long way off, and the bachelor is still trying to take care of his life. So a phone message from a former customer's Danny McKillop (Simon Russell) failed to attract the attention of Peter. But then Danny died and Jack had to face his dark past again. Black Dark Chung: Jack helps an old friend Des Connors (Ron Jacobson) who has lost his son son Gary (Nicholas Coghlan).
