Jim Caldwell just learned of the death of his ex-wife in Alabama in 1969. Many years ago, his ex-wife left him for an English man and left behind three children. Now that she is dead, her new husband and new children have come to Alabama, all because his ex-wife has a wish to bury her bones in her birthplace. The incident brought together two unrelated families and a group of half-siblings. Jim is a very traditional parent, he doesn't ask about everything, and he is a very introverted and shy man. His collection of cars was affixed with various posters by the group of anti-war children. Of course, the meeting with his ex-wife and the uninvited Englishman made a big difference to him.
