Lacenaire

Lacenaire 6.3

On January 9, 1836, Pierre Rasnell went to the guillotine for murder and theft. While awaiting trial, he wrote his memoirs to police officer Alar. He also asked Alar to take care of the little girl Elmina, whose guardian he had been for more than ten years. In the flashback of the film, in his own description of the prison situation, as well as the investigation of Alar and Elmina after reading their memoirs, together with the reactions of others after the memoirs were published, the audience saw Lassner's childhood life: first as a hooligan, then theft, first murder, first military service, then seducing a princess. And Avril, a young man who had an affair with him and died next to him.
