Merani Roland will write and direct a female-dominated era thriller Crazy woman's Ball. The film will be based on Victoria Mas's novel and focuses on the story of a woman who was unjustly taken in and managed to escape in Salpeteye Hospital. In Paris at the end of the 19th century, women who were considered too rebellious or difficult to get along with were often labeled as crazy and institutionalized. Women who were diagnosed with different types of neurological diseases were confined to Salpettier Hospital. Every year, the hospital holds a grand ball with patients to attract elites from Paris. This is a place where you can see and be seen.
