Manuel, a teenager, shot a clerk who was not even his age when he robbed a convenience store. As a result, he was sent to a single room in the prison and sentenced to 23 years in prison. In prison, he couldn't take his eyes off the pictures of the yellowed victim in the newspaper. He couldn't accept that he had committed such a big crime that he had ruined the lives of two young people. Having spent his prison life in guilt and remorse, Manuel was unexpectedly released, and although he returned to society and was free, his atonement mentality was still torturing himself painfully. And hope to have a chance to atone for the mistakes he made when he was a teenager. While he was wandering aimlessly in the city, by chance, he met a woman named Adele Easley (Holly Hunt), who led a difficult life with a teenage child. When Manuel saw the child, he thought of himself, in a period of restlessness and on the brink of crime-he decided to help the mother and son to atone for their sins. The homeless Manuel also meets a priest (Morgan Freeman), who finds one for him in the community center.
