General Macbeth (Orson Wells Orson Welles) follows King Duncan (Erskine Sanford) to fight north and south, where the latter is most trusted. One day, Macbeth won another war and met three witches on his way home. The witches predicted that Macbeth was about to become an official and even take a crown to succeed to the throne. However, Macbeth's successor is not his child, but the son of his good friend General Banco (Edgar Barrier). This prophecy casts a shadow in Macbeth's heart, and at the instigation of his wife Lady Macbeth (Jeanette Nolan), Macbeth kills Duncan and blames the two guards. After that, he kills Banco and Mrs. McDuff (Peggy Webber) one by one. In the process, Macbeth, whose hands were stained with blood, was on the verge of collapse.
