The film focuses on Scottish psychiatrist Ronald David Lein (R. D. Laing), who won high praise in the 1960s for his courageous and bold treatments for patients with mental disorders. He created an innovative method of integrating lysergic acid diethylamine into the experiment and finally formed an innovative form of cure called "Metanoia", which caused an uproar and numerous debates in the medical circles at that time, and completely changed people's attitudes towards mental health problems.
