The story takes place in Paris in the 1950s. Four women are murdered on the streets of Montmartre. The cases seem to be unrelated, but Detective Inspector McGarry suspects that the four cases are committed by the same serial killer. McGray was under great pressure to solve the case, so he used the criminal's vanity to carefully design an arrest plan. As the investigation deepened, McGray narrowed the list of suspects to three. The final result was shocking.
