Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington) was once an upright and responsible police officer, but was sentenced to 25 years in prison on suspicion of stealing $40 million in diamonds. His only chance to leave prison was to attend his father's funeral and escape during the funeral. However, what is puzzling is that he did not leave the country. Instead, he went to the Manhattan Hotel to open a room on the 24th floor. After careful cleaning, he just wanted to fall under the gaze of the busiest New York city. His actions quickly attracted a large number of police and media. A young negotiator, Lydia (Elizabeth Banks), tried to persuade him to return to the house. However, during gradual persuasion, Lydia realized that Nick was framed and imprisoned by the diamond owner David (Ed Harris), for the purpose of high insurance premiums. However, what surprised Lydia even more was that Nick's suicide was just a cover for diversion. His brother and girlfriend were carrying out a revenge plan in the jewelry store building across the street...
