In 1992, Lithuania moved from communism to capitalism, making it difficult for the small state-owned pig farms managed by Irene. Just as the farm was about to close, the handsome American Bernard came here, claiming that the pig farm once belonged to his parents. Bernard bought the farm and used his investment to improve life in the village; as his popularity grew, villagers no longer wanted to listen to their former boss. Irene suspected Bernard's true intentions and began to spy on him, and then Bernard told her the secret about his family: his parents buried a lot of treasure under the farm. Irene fell under Bernard's charm and agreed to help him demolish the farm in search of treasure. As a result, the farm was destroyed and Bernard's dream of getting rich was destroyed, but for Irene, life took a new turn for the better.
