Milar is a 112-minute plot film co-produced by France, Israel, Italy and India. The film, directed by Julian Schnabel and starring Freda Pinto and Theam Abbas, was released in Italy on September 3, 2010. The film is from the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name written by Lula Yebril, an Italian-Palestinian female journalist, and tells the story of Milar, the lonely daughter rescued by Palestinian philanthropist Heinder Hussein, who chose to rebel in a radical way after witnessing the murder of her mother and the continuous war.
