Naqoyqatsi

Naqoyqatsi 6.6

This is the last installment of the Qatsi documentary trilogy. Qatsi is a Native American Hopi language that means life. Due to financial difficulties, the film was released in 2002 and has been produced for a decade, but it is not as well received as the previous two works, Powaqqatsi (1988) and Koyaanisqatsi (1983). The music is still played by Philip Glass, while Yo-Yo Ma plays the cello solo in this film. ROGER EBERT, a famous film critic, said: "I have problems with" Naqoyqatsi "as a film, but as a music video it''s rather remarkable." ("Naqoyqatsi has many problems as a film, but it is quite good as a MTV.") in 1983, commissioned by IRS (Institute of Regional Study), director Reggio made a non-narrative TV film.
