Odin (Mekhi Phifer) is the only black student on campus. With outstanding athletic talent, he joined the school basketball team. Under Odin's onslaught, the basketball team took the lead all the way, and finally qualified to participate in the national competition. Dick (Martin Sheen Martin Sheen) is the coach of the basketball team. In Odin, he sees unlimited possibilities and a brilliant future, which inevitably diverts Dick's attention from his son Hugo (Josh Hartnett Josh Hartnett), who also plays on the team. This made Hugo very unhappy. Odin and Daisy (Julia Stiles Julia Stiles) fall in love, although the relationship is not favored by Daisy's father, but due to the pressure of public opinion, Daisy's father can only choose to acquiesce. Jealousy went to Hugo's head, and he vowed to take everything from Odin at all costs.
