Directed by Brian de Palma (Brian De Palma) and written by Paul Schrader (Paul Schrader), "Love" (Obsession / 1976) is a suspense film with a strong literary flavor. Director Parma is not normal, instead of showing off too much bloody violence in the film, but in a delicate way to make a strange story dreamy and full of charm. The photography of this film maintains the high standard of director Parma as always. The soundtrack of this film is composed by the famous master Bernard Bernard Herrmann, whose notes also add a lot to the film's blurred and mysterious temperament. Creators, including directors and screenwriters, frankly admit that Love is a disciple film with a tribute, influenced by legendary director Alfred Hitchcock's "ecstasy" (Vertigo / 1958).
