This film is a low-cost doomsday disaster survival film under the fear of nuclear war in the 1960s. it probably tells the story of a family of four who began to survive after the nuclear war broke out. The cost of the film is extremely low, and there are very few disaster scenes; there are almost no large-scale disaster images except for the initial flash and a mushroom cloud, almost through a variety of depictions of human nature to show the sense of panic at the end of the day. Roger Coleman, the king of B-rated films, thinks that the theme of this film is very exciting, and this film is quite outstanding among the same type of films of the same period. The "Year Zero" in the title refers to the time when the old civilization ended after the outbreak of the nuclear war.
