Next to the railway in Peacock Town, there lives a man with a dark past-John Skilpa (Hillian Murphy Cillian Murphy). He grew up under the influence of his mother and developed a repressive autistic character. After his mother's death, John's personality split and his heart gave birth to Emma, a woman who symbolized motherhood. In this way, John switched between the identities of men and women and lived a quiet and distorted hidden life. One morning, a disaster suddenly came. A locomotive derailed and broke into John's yard. Emma, who was drying her clothes, was frightened and appeared in front of the people of the town. There is a lot of talk about this, and John wants to get the locomotive out of the yard as soon as possible, but politicians intend to use it as a weight in the political struggle. Faced with all kinds of chaos, John and Emma had a lot of anxiety in their hearts, and their contradictions intensified gradually.
