There is a gray area on the border between the United States and Mexico, a haven for drug dealers and killers, who trade in war and ignore the law completely. Kate (Emily Blunt) is an FBI agent with the just ideal of punishing evil people. She comes here, joins the federal government special forces, and becomes a subordinate of Matt (Josh Brolin). Alessandro (Benicio Del Toro) is a former agent who once worked undercover with the drug lord. Matt approached him, hoping that with his rich experience, he could become a strategic consultant for the action team. However, Alessandro, who has experienced hell, does not play by common sense at all. What he does often stimulates Kate's fragile and sensitive nerves. As the investigation deepened, the breath of death shrouded everyone in the action team, passing by death time and time again, and Kate's outlook began to waver.
